Cassandra got up, packed her stuff and headed to the address on the ad.
Cassandra had already called the contact on the sheet telling her of her intensions to see the house and wondered why she wasn't there yet. She took off her sunglasses and looked around. I'll look around while I wait.
What Cassandra saw was a home that looked as magnificent as the ad made it sound. The windows were stained glass, Phyre will like that, the front door was real wood, the siding was a burnt pink salmon color. The driveway gave a lot to be desired. The flowers and landscaping were wonderful.
She waited for some time before she decided to try the door. The door was unlocked. Hmmm. Okay. That doesn't feel right. She stepped in and took a look around. For just a moment, she felt a draft that literally felt as if it went through her. She waited for the chill to subside and then shut the door behind her.
The main hall was nothing too extravagent but when she walked into the living area, she was taken aback. "Its furnished. I hope I am in the right house." She couldn't walk out. She kept looking. Kitchen, sun room, dining room, stairs... She walked up the stairs and saw three bedrooms. They were also furnished. She walked over to the closet and saw that they were empty. "Thank goodness. Not occupied!" She then saw that there was another set of stairs leading to what she thought was an attic. She walked up and tried the door. It was locked. "Oh well. I think I have seen what I need to."
As Cassandra walked down the stairs, she made a call to Phyre on her cell phone.
"Phyre? Are you there? Its Cassie." Figures, an answering machine.
"I'm here. Hold on." A few seconds pass. "Cassie. I'm here. Whats up?"
"You know you were looking for a place. Well I think I have just found the perfect place for you. Can you meet me?"
[/i]"Sure. I don't have anything going on right now. Whats the address?"[/i]
Cassandra gave her the address along with some directions.
"I'll be there in fifteen minutes?."
"Ok. Don't be alarmed that I am the only one here. The contact never showed. The door is open."
Cassandra took another look and smiled. "She will love it." Deciding that this will be the place she dreamed of, she called the contact.
"Hi. My name is Cassandra. I had an appointment... Yes. No. She never showed. Yes. It was open. Is it supposed to be furnished? Yeah? What is the price? Really? Can you draw up some paperwork. I think I have a buyer for it. Can you make it ready and fax it to me at this number." Cassandra gave them her fax number and waited. "Thanks. I appreciate it."
Cassandra smiled and walked back to her car to get her camera. She took a couple of pictures and waited for Phyre to come.

She looked at her watch and saw that she had some time before her interview and left the mirror to go to the home where Cassandra was meeting her.
Phyre pulled into the small car port and saw that Cassandra was waiting for her. She got out of her car and took a look around. The homes looked like they had damage from the earthquake and noticed that the house that Cassie picked had no apparent damage. Good.
"Hey, Cassie. Thanks for looking out for me. I like it so far."
Cassandra took her inside the house and she was instantly interested. "I like it. How much are they asking for?"
Cassandra told her. "But, I thought if you were intersted, the foundation would purchase it and you will pay us as the financial backer."
"You were that sure, huh?"
After a couple of minutes, Phyre said. "I'll take it."
Phyre smiled for the first time in a long time. She looked at Cassandra and said, "Lets go to Starbucks and cellebrate."
