Payton walked into Starbucks and after answering the "WOW! How did that happen?" questions, she picked up her coffee for the office.
Sarah will be happy. I hope that the caffeine will not counteract with the meds I was given last night.
Payton tried not to think of what happened last night but it was unavoidable because she didn't have a car to take to work. At least Starbucks was within walking distance from work.
Instead of leaving, she picked up a paper and sat down in the purple cushoned seat. She scanned the first page before she looked for her horoscope then decided that she didn't want to know just how bad her day was going to be.
On the front page was a picture of Phyre and Matthew at the conference last night. Under it, the caption read, "Its time to move on."
I guess that is the consensus. Everyone to move on and rebuild. Payton got up, although slowly because she was in pain, and returned the paper. She thumbed through her purse and grabbed her cell phone. She called Susan at the office.
The phone rang twice and then she answered, "Bucklands, can I help you?"
"Susan, can you come help me? I'm at Starbucks with the coffee and I can't go into depth why I can't help myself but I need you to meet me here."
Susan put her purse in the bottom drawer of Payton's desk and headed out.
Susan walked into Starbucks and helped Payton with the carafe's. She looked up into Payton's eyes and saw the damage done. "Ms. Spencer, are you alright?"

"I really don't want to talk about it, Susan. Lets just get these to the office. I want to make sure that the guys working, they are working today right? Anyway, I want them to know how much we appreciate them." Payton didn't stop talking to find out if they were there yet. She handed one carafe to Susan and then took the lead out of the door. She walked to Bucklands with Susan.
